The book is informative, interesting, inspirational, and even challenging. There are frequent references to Bible verses. The volume is peppered throughout with eye-catching drawings and photos. Most sections are only one paragraph long, but a few have several paragraphs. A wide-range of scientific fields are covered, but some other topics such as the Bill of Rights, Halloween, and St. Patrick's Day have more historic and religious significance. This book is light reading. Since I have been wearing bifocal glasses for many years, it was especially interesting to learn that that on the 23rd of May, which is my birthday, Benjamin Franklin back in 1785 announced his invention of bifocal glasses. |
