 | the only book about child-rearing I haven't wanted to throw Mar 27, 2007 |
| This book is a sigh of relief after a long day. It's not overwhelming, and it doesn't make you feel like you're doing everything wrong as a new mom. It reminds you that interacting with your new baby should be simple and fun, and gives you little ideas to bond with your child more each day. It also reminds you that you're not alone in your overwhelming new circumstances, and offers simple prayers to give you perspective. It's been great for me, and the other moms I know. | | | | Simply A Treasure Nov 27, 2006 |
I think of this gift whenever someone special in my life becomes an expectant mom; I and everyone else I've shared this book with have agreed it is simply a treasure, and although I'm not there yet, reading through it has actually made me look forward to becoming a mom someday!
The book is prepared as a "daily guide to loving and nurturing your baby". Essentially, each day during the first year after your baby's birth, the author delivers delightful activities to supplement your growth with your newborn. My friends have shared that they've found the daily activities insightfully tuned to their baby's growth, helping them recognize and appreciate their development in their first year.
Although the author leans a great deal on her Christian faith, I think anyone regardless of background could glean a great deal from this guide as the author's messages are really reflections and expressions for any mother's hopes for her baby's well-being and growth.

| This book was SO helpful to me. I didn't think the suggestions could get any better, but as my son could do more and more as he grew, the suggestions matched up to his abilities. WONDERFUL gift, a must have for moms in the first year. | | | | So Good It's Now My Favorite Gift to Give! Nov 3, 2006 |
| If there is one book that every mom needs (preferably kept within close reach), it's Linda Danis' 365 Things Every New Mom Should Know. Readable, inspiring, and filled with advice and encouragement guaranteed to lift the spirits of tired moms. I've enjoyed the book so much that it has become a standard gift I've given to moms of new babies. I've received such enthusiastic thank you notes that I know it's hit the same chord for my friends as it did for me. This book reminds us to relax, enjoy our babies, cherish these fleeting moments, and laugh a little more. | | | | Only good if your child is under 1 year old Aug 3, 2006 |
| This is a good book for first time moms only if you read this book during the first year. My son was 1 when I purchased this book, it did not tell my anything I didn't already know. | | | Write your own review about 365 Things Every New Mom Should Know: A Daily Guide to Loving and Nurturing Your Child
