| In contrast to the previous critic -- and for the same reasons - "20 Tough Questions Teenagers Ask : And 20 Tough Answers" is just that... TOUGH. But, not in a prejidical way. Frankly, if you do not want to know what the Pope and the Church have to say, then why would you pick up a book about Catholicism in tbe first place? With two teenage daughters, I have become keenly aware of the impact of secular society on the mores and values of our kids. The big five are alive and well in epidemic proportions in our schools and in the lives of our kids: Smoking, Drinking, Drugs, Sex and Abortion. It is serious and we need resources such as this one to help parents deal with these tough issues. The answers are faith-filled, love-filled. But, in the context of today's society - where God is a mere convenience - His expectations of us might well be considered unfair. Tough! |
