"Dragon's Lair" is the fifth in the Matterhorn the Brave series written by Make Hamel. Aaron, Nate, and Jewel join Matt in this exciting new adventure as they experience time travel, through the portals of earth, that connect all the realms of space and time.
They are on a mission to retrieve the lost Talis, the Traveler's Cube. Talis are tangible symbols of the Maker's power. The young foursome found themselves inside an emperor's tomb from the Qin dynasty. Here they were confronted by the Dragon, Yu. The search took on a new and daunting danger after meeting Yu. In exchange for her help in finding Ethan, who was now in possession of the Cube Matterhorn and his friends agreed to protect the Dragon's life. The team now faced an additional menace. Along with fighting wraiths and heretics they were now faced with taking on the most vindictive man in China.
Suspense filled drama, history, modern technology, and miraculous powers all play a part in the plot of Hamel's writing. In addition to these Hamel weaves into the story important truths regarding the Maker, free choice, evil, and the danger of pride.
