Again, another excellent book from Terri Blackstock. I have yet to be disappointed with her writing! Double Minds takes the reader to the world of Christian musicdom. Add murder and greed and you have yourself a twisting, fast paced, completely absorbing novel. I found the book fascinating and read it while I was on vaction this year during July 4th weekend. I found her AFTERWORD especially touching in this novel.
I am sincerly hoping that Terri decides to make this book a series!

I was very pleased that when I wrote and told the seller that pages were missing from the book, they then completely refunded the purchase..... They are good honest people

My pastor and his family gave this book to me as a birthday present after learning Terri Blackstock was one of my favorite authors. Ironically I had just finished reading Jeffrey Deaver's Roadside Crosses days before. (You can find my review of his book here as well).
The one thing that struck me, perhaps more than anything else, was that while Deaver told a great story, it was just that, a story. Blackstock, on the other hand, delivers some powerful Biblical truths wrapped up in a superb story. The result is one is great to read and pass the time, but the other is great to store in your heart.
Both are good writers (I'm still praying that Deaver would join the Christian family), but Terri Blackstock shines. Well, she would really say what I saw shining was Jesus, not her. So take a trip with a couple young Christian girls as they try to find success in the music business. Watch as they make their own compromises and deal with a ruthless industry. You'll be as surprised at the ending as you would in any Deaver novel, and you'll have more to show for it.

| This, like every book by Terry Blzckstock, was a very good read......all the suspense, surrounded by good Christian values......Proves the book doesn't have to be filled with 'hot n steamy' content to keep me turning the pages. Also, I bought this book used and would have never known it had been read before......Great seller as well!! | | | | Good, but not very exciting Jun 21, 2009 |
This book lacked the suspense of Terri Blackstock's other novels. The characters were incomplete and shallow. Mostly I was disappointed in how much I didn't care. I really didn't care about the characters, and I certainly didn't care who committed the murder. I was expecting a griping, murder novel that would make me stay up and read in a well lit room, and this was not it.
The best part of this book was the alcoholic father and sympathetic mother. They have a relationship worth exploring. | | | Write your own review about Double Minds
